Program
In a time when the economies of the US and Europe have struggled, the ICT sector has been a bright spot, with small startups establishing cross-border links and partnerships. ICT could and should play a stronger role in the economy, and contribute significantly to the prosperity of Southeast Europe in particular.
Brown Forum 2015 will bring together decision makers from Europe and the United States and encourage them to think strategically about how to grow the potential of the ITC sectors in their countries, including the policies needed to make that vision a reality.
The conference will begin on April 14 with welcome remarks, a key note address and a welcome dinner hosted by the City and County of Osijek. On April 15, four panels will take place to cover the following themes:
-
How business and academia can partner to better prepare students for employment in the ICT sector.
-
How to commercialize ideas developed by university and other research and development institutions.
-
How startups can attract financing
-
What local governments can and should do to support the growth of the ICT sector.
Each panel will last 90 minutes and will include members with unique knowledge and experiences relevant to the topic. For a full list of panel participants, please visit our Speakers Section.
The 2015 Brown Forum will conclude on April 15 with closing remarks. However, you will be able to find links to useful information and resources on our web page long after the conference is over, just check our Relevant Resources page.
